Hobbies help in the overall development of students keeping in view, School of Management Sciences, Lucknow organized “Abhiruchi (The Hobby Centre)” event. The dignitaries who blessed the occasion were Mr. Sharad Singh (CEO SMS, Lucknow), Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Mehrotra (Director SMS IMS), Prof. (Dr.) B. R. Singh (Director SMS IT), and Dr. Dharmendra Singh (Dean SMS IT) and various other faculty members with students.
The event comprised of a competition of skits, competitive performances of song and dance and a competition of photographs ‘Capture your city’ in which the students had to narrate about the photographs captured by them.
The event started with the dignitaries offering flower petals to Maa Saraswati and whereas it ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sarvesh Rai the convener of Abhiruchi (The Hobby club) 2015.
The top list included:
• Supooja & Group for skit on women empowerment for Manchan (Drama Club).
• Yash and Dheerendra were ranked as first and second performers of Raag (Music Club).
• Shashank & Shivangi from BCA were adjudged first while Prince from PGDM received the second prize for the AKS (Photography Club).
Highlight of the event was playing of drums by a student of Computer Science. The packed capacity hall was treated to the drum beats at the end of the function. An extra ordinary additive was that the total event was presented and managed by the students of SMS Lucknow, the anchors of event were Mr. Sajal Bhalla from SMS-IMS, Ms. Puja Yadav and Mr. Dipanshu Pandey from SMS IT. Some of the names worth mention were Ms. Sujata Sinha, Mr. Satyajeet Asthana, Ms. Mansi Khanna, Mr. Mohd. Azam
